POSITION: Hardware Lab Technician, Tyco Security Products
LOCATION: 3301 Langstaff Road, Concord, ON L4K 4L2
Purpose:
To provide technical assistance to Hardware Engineering Designer (RF, Digital and analog Designers) by performing activities such as prototype debugging and design verification testing.
Additional tasks include PCB assembly and circuit modification.
Main Responsibilities:
Works from schematics, drawing and test plans to perform trouble-shooting and low level hardware verification testing
Trouble-shooting and testing will involve analog, digital and/or RF circuits.
Executes testing on prototypes and collects data for analysis.
Utilizes test or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus, and may program and operate computer automated test stations.
Assist the Component Engineering Group with investigation and selection of components for product development or manufacturing.
Fabricate test and programming jigs for product development use.
Perform detailed analysis on competitors' products.
Assist other Lab Personnel in daily operations.
Work closely with members of cross-functional teams (analog, digital, RF, Mechanical, Software, PV&V)
Follows workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines.
Education:
2 year college diploma in an Electronics related program or equivalent and Minimum 5 years applicable practical experience.
Specialized Skills:
Skills in working with operation and maintenance of complex measuring and test instruments/equipment;
Sound judgment; analysis and problem solving skills
Available to work nonstandard or extended work hours to meet project deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong time management skills
Equipment used:
Various specialized electrical and electro-mechanical measuring, diagnostic and test equipment.
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
May work outdoors at various times, during the year and subjected to cold, snow, rain and heat.
May work with high voltage.
May be occasionally exposed to noise levels during testing

SAP ABAP Data Migration Lead
Description:
Full time opening for Senior SAP Data Lead / ABAP Consultant. This position will be based within the GTA.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest SAP practices in Canada whose focus is local with little outside travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to colleagues, customers and project teams on SAP data conversion strategies, timing, work effort estimation and data conversion methodologies,
- Document and assist in defining the functional and technical requirements of SAP programs and SAP custom objects to meet business requirements, particularly in the area of data migration.
- Design and code SAP programs and custom objects, particularly in the area of data migration, and maintain applications to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specifications.
- Execute and document tests necessary to ensure that SAP programs and custom objects meet performance requirements, particularly in the area of data migration.
Qualifications:
- A proven SAP professional, with at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations and strong data migration/data cleansing/ABAP/LSMW experience.
- 5+ years experience of large-scale SAP implementation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with:
- SAP ERP ECC 5.0 upwards is preferred
- Collecting technical SAP data conversion requirements and converting them into a technical design for data load programs.
- Data governance a plus.
- Good communications with ability to collaborate with clients, colleagues and project team members
- Able to lead a team of developers, report status and issues to management, and ability to come up with options and recommendations for given problem.
- Prior experience with a variety of SAP tools and techniques including ALE, BAPIs, IDOCS, EDI, PI preferred
Salary range based on experience $80K to $100K base + bonus
